Workshop series: Participatory Research in Psychosis
As part of the Lancet Psychiatry Commission on Psychosis in Global Context and the SIRS Research Harmonisation Group, a series of panels and workshops will be organised to explore different aspects of involvement of people with lived experience in research.

Workshops will be held monthly via Zoom and Facebook live (through the Global Mental Health Peer Network profile). Note that sessions are independent, so it is not required to attend prior sessions to follow a session's content. See the full schedule below:

- the process of having been involved in large collaborations as people with lived experience,
- the process of involving people with lived experience in research by using participatory or engaged approaches,
- critical analysis of research concepts and methods from both lived experience and multidisciplinary perspectives.
Audience
These webinars are targeted at all academic and non-academic stakeholders, and specifically includes:
- Individuals with lived experience of psychosis who wish to be more involved in or engaged with research and do not have any prior research training;
- Researchers who do not have a formal background in participatory methods and would like to learn more about meaningful inclusion.
Aims
Attendees are expected to:
- Deepen their appreciation for the importance of robust lived experience involvement in research
- Better understand challenges associated with ensuring that involvement is impactful and non-tokenistic
- Gain a deeper understanding of the limitations of a range of research designs and approaches to outcomes measurement
- Strengthen critical engagement with research concepts and methods in the field of mental health and/or psychosis
